A break in the weather has enabled us to comb the streets for shopping bargains. Brendan finally scored some Billabong shorts in his size and he was thrilled. We were all exhausted before long from walking as the heat and humidity made us all sluggish. We retreated to the resort pool – a beauty with a gigantic karst overlooking it. We swam for a couple of hours and it was fun watching the boys play their games (‘walking on water’, seeing how long they could swim underwater, doing 360s, etc.). Afterwards we went back to Rocky’s where we indulged in an Indian feast complete with fiery chutneys, lime pickles, and ice-cold Singha.
