Off to St Lucia. Home of the happy hippos! Some snags today. Our rental car wasn’t ready when we went to pick it up which had us driving in the dark (not recommended). We ended up overshooting St. Lucia by 30 ks as we missed the turn-off. After an eight-hour drive it was an unwelome discovery.
Got settled in at our B & B. As we have driven into a totally different eco-system we were thrilled to find out that the pool was warm enough to swim in. After dinner at a Portugese restaurant we all got to bed after a very, very long and trying day.

ReplyDeleteYes, I imagine driving past your target could be a little disheartening. I don't ask who the driver was but who was the navigator?
Just read your leg with the 8-hr. car rental and will now continue onto the next destination.
