This morning we were met with a glorious day. A few clouds but 20+ degrees. Deb was feeling better so we went over to Royal Natal hiking trails in Drakensberg Park. We intended to do the gorge walk at 14km but the 5 hour ETA put a damper on that idea. We opted for Tiger Falls’ 2 hour hike covering a couple of rivers’ falls. Thank goodness. As it was we took 3+ hours to manage 6km, 3 that are straight up! It was a lot for Deb, and she couldn’t wait to get back to the Montusi Lodge to nap (she looked sick again, unfortunately).
A few positives of the hike were the boys dipping in the falls, the breathtaking scenery and the group of baboons we saw at the base of the river near the parking. We saw a few insects, too, including a really odd looking ant among a bunch of normal looking ones.

OMG - What photography...the scenery is incredible. And the photo of the "ANT" that ate New York is unbelievable (I can see the reflection of the photographer in its eye!) Wow. You guys are way out there and I'm hoping you opt for AUSTRALIA & NZ instead of Vietnam and Mumbi?!!! However, I loved hearing your voice and feel good knowing you all are doing well (Deb I hope better by now). Love you all and ENJOY your travels.
