April 4, 2009 Ryan: As it was Kyrt’s birthday, we had a very relaxing start to the day. We woke up at around 8:30 in the morning and had a quiet breakfast made up of granola cereal, fruit, ham, eggs, and orange juice with a few minor side dishes. We read for a good hour or an hour and a half as well as doing homework. As soon as R.J. had returned from the gym, we were off in two separate cars: Kyrt in the van with Mom, Dad, Brendan and I and in the pick-up truck R.J. was accompanied by the four dogs in the back seat scrambling around. We eventually got to the beach and unpacked our towels and our good variety of food. R.J. and Mom went for a stroll along the very nice beach while Kyrt went back to the guest house to get the umbrella as well as fix the washing machine. He soon returned with the umbrella that provided us with a great deal of comfortable shade. While all that, Dad, Brendan and I played football followed by building sand castles in the hollows of rocks. (Joe’s note: we’ll ended up with sand fly bites by the 100s as a result).
We had lunch at two o’clock in the afternoon and soon made our way back to the guest house to change and get ready for dinner.
Chaplan’s
We had finally made the decision to go to Chaplan’s Restaurant for Kyrt’s birthday which was situated in the mall very close to the guest house. We got there and while the adults placed their - and the kids’ – orders while Brendan and I went to the bar to watch the Fulham-Liverpool game. We were soon called back since our food had already arrived. I had very tasty ribs and every body else had fish, curry or chicken. We all wished Kyrt a happy birthday and soon we had gone back to the guest house.
We were forced to pack up all our suitcases and belongings because we were going to get up very early in the morning. We read as well and my mom chatted with two more visitors.

JOEY, DEB, RYAN & BRENDAN - SO GOOD TO HEAR FORM you all. It had been a few days. Sounds like you are taking it all in. Lots of sights and sightings...Meercats are the cutest alright. It's Good Friday and I'm thinking of you guys and glad to read your each rendition of the events unfolding. WOW and WOW. HAPPY EASTER (Island, just kidding). LOVING you guys and enjoy your travels from my point of view. Ryan & Brendan certainly have a command of the English language. Great reporting guys. Bug bites suck ( no pun intended) - do you have some lotion to ease the itch? Joey, how's your finger. I've pulled plants that caused a poisonous reaction and, well, no fun to say the lease. I kiss it better. Love, Judie & Mats HAPPY EASTER
